Many forget about the shipping time involved when buying online. TONIGHT is your last opportunity to order and get packages in time without paying much more for shipping. NewEgg is a highly recommended privately own company. Consider supporting them instead of buying from Amazon. Why here.
Just in case you want to bless your favorite blogger who works long hours at a computer, here are the things I find most valuable for those who work online:
Like these? Pin them.
Foot Warmer Under Desk Mats
What I’d love to find is a foot warmer. If I aim a heater at my feet the rest of me gets too warm. If I turn it off, my feet get cold and that distracts me from my work and reduced productivity. This mat looks like the solution:

Do You Keep a Spare Computer Mouse?
Essential items have a habit of breaking at the worst possible time. If you make a living online you should always have at least one spare mouse. They can cost as little as the one shown at $1.21 (plus shipping) up to over $100.
Having a spare will save you much grief and expense – especially if there is nowhere local to buy one that is open when you desperately need it. Low end mice average $4.
Mice can make a great gift for your favorite blogger. Just want to get them a little something? Go inexpensive. Want to impress them? Buy a fancier model they probably haven’t bought for themselves.
There is an easy way to find what you want: TheFind.com
Type in whatever you’re looking for and instantly see dozens of small businesses plus the usual big brands, what they sell, and what they’re charging.
Mouse Pad with Wrist Rest
Anyone typing long hours can save their wrists and lessen the chance of developing carpal tunnel syndrome by using a padded wrist rest. Get them a mouse pad with built-in wrist rest.
Prices start at $2 for plain black to more for fancier designs. You can see many styles of computer mouse pads with wrist rests here.
It is surprising that more businesses don’t use these as promotional gifts because that is the perfect way to remind bloggers to write about you. You can look through the promotional mouse pad pages at 4imprint.com to find several styles.
Cup Warmer
ShopWiki is another site I use regularly to find small businesses. It is better for the economy and them if we buy direct instead of letting multi-national corporations like Amazon take the profits away from them. I used them to refind GeekStuff4You.com.
Anyone sitting at a desk in the winter could use a cup warmer. They make a perfect stocking stuffer or inexpensive giveaway to let your employees and consultants know you care about their welfare.
Reading the reviews it is obvious that finding one of these that works is going to be a challenge. The ceramic models get hot so personally I wouldn’t want to risk burning myself. Many of the USB models apparently don’t work well.
I had an electric cup warmer that worked great. If anyone has a tip on one that works well – either 110v or USB – please let us know in the comments.
Large Print Lighted Keyboards
I love my Azio keyboard because it has a lighted keyboard, and large print. It makes it easy to work without having to have overhead light or even a lamp on. I use mine 10+ hours every day. The action is a little different, but I like it. I’ve worn some of the black off and my space bar has a larger lamp, but the keyboard keeps on working. It comes with a three year warranty.
Here’s a not politically correct video review of this keyboard:
Everyone who has seen this keyboard has wanted one. If you need reading glasses sometimes, but not necessarily when working online, this is the keyboard for you. If you have large hands or use the hunt-and-peck method this keyboard will be much better for you, too. Personally I prefer to leave it on blue. NOTE: To turn off the light hold the button down that changes the colors.
We should all have at least one spare keyboard on hand, too.
Designer Reading Glasses
Do you hate wearing reading glasses? Know someone who does? We don’t have to wear homely reading glasses any more. I encouraged CTSwholesaleSunglasses to stock a much better variety of reading glasses so we have some choice now.
Larger Monitors Save Your Eyes;
Increases Productivity
I saved the best for last. I do not actually have this yet, but I really want this particular model of ViewSonic monitor.
By being able to rotate a display into a vertical position we can minimize scrolling and wear on our wrists.
Everyone has widescreens, but what a blogger really needs is a taller screen when writing and doing social media. (See image.)
This monitor rotates so you can use it vertically to blog and rotate it to work on spreadsheets or relax and watch a movie.
Ideally we would use TWO monitors – one in each orientation – if you use spreadsheets a lot. (To run dual monitors requires an additional card be installed in most PCs.)
What would you most like to receive as a gift?
