When Valentine sold his blog to pay for the development of JustRetweet – a site that allows us to get more Twitter traffic – the new owner chose to delete this list of what he called “Fearless Women on the Internet”.

I considered that a great loss. Fortunately, Valentine had kept a copy of this post so I requested that he let me republish it here for Follow Friday.

If you use this list plus the many lists on my Twitter Influencer Link Roundup you’ll have a huge head start on finding the best and brightest to follow on Twitter.

Women should be respected as well! Generally speaking, men are held in great esteem in all parts of the world, so why shouldn’t women have their share? Soldiers and war heroes are honored and commemorated, explorers are granted immortal fame, martyrs are revered, but how many people look upon women too as soldiers?…Women, who struggle and suffer pain to ensure the continuation of the human race, make much tougher and more courageous soldiers than all those big-mouthed freedom-fighting heroes put together!”
~ Anne Frank ~

      Hi Alison,

I’ll see if Valentine remembers. It was originally on his BigMoneyWebs blog which he sold. For whatever reason, the new owner decided to delete this post and my Broken Link Checker plugin notified me the link was dead.

I had linked to the post from my Twitter Influencer Link Roundup of posts with better than average lists with Twitter usernames and remembered it.

Lucky for us all I knew whose post it was and he had a copy of it so we all get the benefit of his massive research and it hasn’t been lost forever.

      Hi Linda,

The new owner deleted the entire page – probably didn’t feel it was relevant to his audience, but if he were wise he would have just unlinked it and kept the incoming links for SEO purposes and used the content to pull readers into his site.

    Welcome Wendy,

It is actually Valentine’s list which I had linked to so when it went missing I was able to republish it here. He obviously put a ton of work into researching and linking to all these bloggers so I didn’t want it to stay missing.

I hope you’ll have time to pop in now and again. If you ever join the DoFollow CommentLuv community do be sure to let me know so I can get you on all my lists.

    Hi Karen,

I couldn’t imagine anyone deleting such a major research effort. We are fortunate that Valentine kept a copy and that I knew whose site that used to be when I saw that link go dead! What are the odds?

      Hi Cara,

It is somehow appropriate that a commenter who links to an automated backlink generator would inquire about the Queen of Satanism. You would definitely not see her in any post on this site unless it was to point that out.

We all need to stop using automated tools that generate useless links and worthless content. The reason they exist, though, is that that kind of horrible activity still works. If the 800# gorilla REALLY wanted to stop black hat they would start there.

I don’t know when I’ll be able to check them all, probably never, but I think this is a great and useful list. The world would be a better place if run by women so the more influential women bloggers there are the better will be. This way at least the blogosphere will be a better place. 🙂

      Welcome, Donna,

I popped over to your blog and what you wrote about being an expert is absolutely true. The best way to make sure you REALLY know a subject is to explain it to someone else in a way they can understand it and be able to answer any question they can come up with. I tweeted your post with a little extra comment from me.

I see you’re part of the CommentLuv community. Would you mind adding your blog(s) to my Promote Your Blog Here post? If you answer the questions there I can get it into the appropriate lists. Thank you.

I look forward to seeing you again.
