I found your site on google, great site, keep it up. Will return in the future. Submitted this post to Google News Reader.
@William Thank you so much for sharing what is working for you. There are so many sales letter type sites that make unsubstantiated claims that it is important to know who is generating income, how they’re doing it, and what is working. Too many are led down the garden path by others who are no more experienced than they are.
I just started blogging recently. I have witnessed a slight increase in income but this doesn’t mean much since the amount coming in is low to begin with. I also have a static site that get a lot of traffic and generates a good income. This is due to high ranking on numerous keyword phrases. The income comes from affilliate programs and Adsense and has been pretty stable. I hope to start creating and selling my own infoproducts soon and boost the income.
@Trent I suspect even some established blogs will see some slippage of income so you may want to increase efforts to keep them growing. The recent Merchant Circle survey had 1100+ respondents and 75% of them are seeing declining incomes! Have you done posts on what works for you?
Although my income from my main blog/site has sort of hit a plateau in the past year or so, it does make me a pretty darn good income each month. It was on the rise for many years and is made from a little bit of everything you have on your poll. With the except of offering services.
@Cesar The key to conversion is RELEVANCE rather than sheer numbers. That is why there is so much written on developing a niche site. If you have 100 readers who are seriously interested in a particular subject they are FAR more likely to buy more of anything than 1000 readers who aren’t that interested. What each blogger must do is develop a specific area of expertise and match what they offer to what their readers’ interests.
I’d say impressions would be a nice thing. But you really need to drive lots of traffic to earn through this.

@Shane Good to see you here. A recent Merchant Circle survey had 1100+ respondents and 75% of them indicated that their sales were down moderately or dramatically! That is a very serious indication that the economy is afffecting sales even online. We’ll all have to be proactive and continue to build more and more sources of traffic.
@Dennis I am also working on monetization here and will focus on resources I know to be very effective for bloggers. More to come on this subject.
@Leigh Many prefer ads because they get paid whether they’re effective or not – and the bad news is they usually are NOT effective. That is why I intend to focus on driving real sales so I can measure and report on what does work and what doesn’t. Good luck with the grant.
I just began really developing my blog recently, so none yet as well. But I’m planning to use a mixture of ads on the feed as well as on a weekly news letter.
For another site I’m developing, I’ll be applying to see if I’m eligible for grant money.
None yet, that’s on the agenda for this year, coming up very soon.

Great poll. The growth of my income from my blogs has definitely slowed down immensely, but things are still going well so hopefully others will find the same.
