Content—check.
Design—check.
Tried your hand at monetization with ads—check.
Earned great returns with ads—now that’s another story.
Well, you’re not alone.
AdSense is notorious for having way too many rules, and the amount of time it takes to get a website approved is no secret.
Even when you do get approved, there’s no one you can turn to for help if you hit a roadblock, unless you consider user forums with all sorts of unauthenticated advice help!
But don’t fret yet!
There are many ways beyond AdWords to monetize your blog. Click To TweetWith Media.net, for instance, your efforts can prove to be more fruitful than you had expected.
Media.net exclusively powers the Yahoo! Bing Contextual Ads program. That’s about $6 billion worth of search demand that no other platform can open up for publishers.
A portion of this money is bound to make its way into your pocket if you start monetizing your content with this solution.
In fact, Media.net is the second largest contextual advertising platform in the world.
So if you can’t get past Google or you wish to expand your monetization capacity, Media.net is where you should go.
Here’s why.
1. Contextually Relevant Sensible Ads
Let your ads make sense for a change. Contextual ads stay relevant to whatever your content is about.
The best thing about Media.net ads is that they are, quite literally, in context. Media.net is the pioneer of the D2S format, which enables hyper-accurate targeting of customers by focusing on their search intent.
Media.net will display ads filtered on the basis of the search query that got users to your blog. This means people are more likely to click on these ads rather than if they were completely random.
At the end of the day, it’s the clicks that matter. The higher the number of clicks, the bigger the share of revenue you will receive.Click To Tweet2. Beautifully Designed Native Ads
Native ads are the key to unlocking the immense potential that online advertising has.
Very simply put, these ads match the look and feel of your website and blend in without disrupting your content.
Media.net ads are highly native and extremely customizable. It’s easy to tweak them to complement your site and create a seamless user experience.
Other advertising platforms don’t necessarily have this ability. But with Media.net’s native advertising, you can easily make your ads fit naturally with the layout of your website.
The best native ads feel as useful to a visitor as the actual quality material already on your site. Excellent native advertising means no more banner blindness.
Visitors to websites don’t like advertising that stands out. So avoid it, and give your audience want they want (and what they click on!).
Here are a couple of examples of such ad units by Media.net.
3. Custom Sizes
There is nothing quite as restrictive as products that come as one-size-fits-all.
Inevitably, that one size will not fit your needs. Media.net has a diverse range of ad sizes, meaning you have more options for how to design your website and how to present media to your audiences.
You also have more choices for how to create a cohesive brand that is consistent with what your visitors like to click on.
Some of the sizes Media.net provides are exclusive. No other ad network provides them, not even AdSense. So use them and create an additional inventory and, obviously, additional revenue.
Check out a couple custom ad units below.
4. An Account Manager Always at Your Service
When you use Media.net, a dedicated representative works with you every step of the way to help you drive your revenue.
There is no need to go looking for help in forums, hoping your voice gets heard. You can skip begging, pleading, and shouting for attention where you think the right person might be lurking.
With Media.net, you will find an actual human willing to help you out, unlike with other ad networks. So when a problem presents itself, just send an email or pick up the phone and call your dedicated account manager.
Even when everything is going beautifully—which is everyone’s goal—you will still have a representative at Media.net who will follow up with you to ensure your ongoing success.
While there certainly are benefits that AdSense provides, Media.net has a few of its own that trump AdSense’s.
If you are looking for an alternative to AdSense, there’s none better than Media.net.
Even if you like AdSense and want to keep it around, Media.net might just be the ticket to boost your income by filling in the gaps that the former leaves behind.

Hi Emory,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I know the best converting ads would be ones we manually chose to fit each piece of content. Too bad there is no easy way to do that. My tech guy is asking me to go in on a premium plugin to use on our sites called AdRotate for WordPress.
I used to run CrankyAds, but they shut down and I had not found an alternative. We may be testing that one soon. I haven’t tested Media.net myself, yet. I’ve just had other issues to resolve first.

Hey Uttoran,
Great post. Media.net, huh?
I’ve heard of it. Everyone says it’s a much better option than most ad networks. All even.
I actually just applied for their program with one of my niche sites. It got rejected because it only has 10 posts.
So that’s something to consider before you apply. Make sure you have a lot of content.
I will, however, re-apply when the site is ready. 🙂
Anyway, great post. I enjoyed reading and learning that Media.net is actually worth signing up for.
Thanks,

Julian

Good to know that you have liked the article,
Yeah, always good to have additional income streams, with adsense as the only option – people do take a lot of risk. If something goes wrong with adsense – you are suddenly left with no help and options.
Best to have sites like Media.net that offers superior and dedicated support,

Hey George,
thank you for the comment,
I remember ages back, somewhere around 2005+ – It had taken me months to reach my $100 in Adsense. However, only after a few more months – I was making that kind of money every few days.
Work on your blogs and keep increasing your income, the limits won’t matter anymore,
thanks,

Good to know that you found this article helpful.
Adsense is always tough to enter, has almost no support and if something goes wrong – it becomes so difficult to fix it. However, there are some good alternatives – and one of them I have covered in details in this article.
thanks,

Appreciate hearing about Media.net, Uttoran and Guest Crew. You’re right people are tiring of ads, especially ones that aren’t interesting or educational.
Being part of a supportive blogging / content marketing community is priceless.

Thanks for sharing, very helpful. Having an account manager 24/7 is so underrated I reckon, being able to have one on site to help out consumers can build so much goodwill and positivity between the company and the user! After all who wouldn’t like knowing they’re in safe hands all the time?
Hey Caitlyn,

Thanks for sharing your under utilized resource Uttoran!
Although I had not previously heard of it. I can certainly
appreciate, how it differs and offers several excellent benefits,
when compared to the far more recognizable AdSense platform.
It’s always nice to know, there are some potentially profitable
alternatives, to look to.
And definitely sounds like, Media.net is just such an alternative.

Yeah – when it comes to monetizing sites via. ads, people always look at Adsense – but it is not the only option.
I have earned a lot from Adsense till date, but I have also suplimented my income with as many other sources as possible. Best to keep your eggs in seperate baskets, that way you maintain a more stable form of income.
thanks,
