New CordCruncher Earbud Headphones on Kickstarter End Tangled, Snagged Gadget Cords

March 28, 2012 By CordCruncher 29 Comments

UPDATE: Received my CordCruncher Earbuds – they’re WAY more cool in real life! They’re comfortable to wear so they’re always handy and they make great earplugs for when you want silence and the neighbor has their boom box blaring!

DEFINITELY worth supporting on Kickstarter so please act NOW!

If Jay could find a way to put CordCruncher’s scrunchy goodness on reading glasses so they could always be handy and I’d stop losing them – THAT would be something! Everyone 45-50+ needs wearable inexpensive reading glasses.

Cord Cruncher Ear BudsCordCruncher i Earbuds HeadPhones were introduced at CES this past January to stellar reviews. Take a look at these stylish headphones that allow complete freedom of movement and I think you will see why.

Simplicity is the genius of these headphones to use with your iPhones, iPods, iPads,ย  cell phones, mp3 players, MacBookPros, Notebooks, CD players – most smart phones and devices that use a standard 3.5mm port.

Anyone who loves gadgets will want these earbud headphones
because who isn’t tired of snagging and untangling cords?

Jay Johnson’s invention features an elastic cord storage function that shrinks the cord from 3.5 feet to 16 inches. In addition to storing the headphones tangle-free, the sleeve allows you to adjust the cord to any length.

Watch this 15 second demo video showing how the cord is stored and adjusted:

The big kicker is these units can be worn as a fashion accessory (bracelets and necklaces) when the phonoplug is attached to the plastic head on the other side of the elastic storage sleeve.

Gotta think the kids are going to go nuts over these colorful fashion accessories.

The video below is an arty, two-minute Lifestyle Presentation demonstrating activities perfect for using your new CordCruncher Earbuds:

We should fund this project quickly – not only for the earbuds. This is just the first of many gadget accessories we could all use.

Rumor has it USB cords are their next product and the comments in the Kickstarter campaign are buzzing about Skullcandy prototypes that add a microphone so you can answer the phone while you’re working out!

Head over to the Cord Cruncher Kickstarter Project page to preorder your own CordCruncher Earbuds.

Be sure to check out their bulk options including a box of thirty-three CordCrunchers to hand out to your football team, classroom, or self-help group.

If we want these innovative, patent-pending
new products we have to back these guys now!

      Hi Jacob,

I still have mine. I use them more as ear plugs than cords, but that is just because I don’t go mobile.

      Hi Alberto,

They actually have a new and improved version now. I use them as ear plugs on the rare occasion there is anything going on that bugs me. Sometimes they even help a little with tinnitus. I’m sure most use them for their original purpose, though.

Hi Josh, Thanks for the nice words and support of our product. Today we starting our North American launch by being featured on QVC’s “Gotta Have It” show during the 4:00 to 5:00 pm EST segment. These guys purchased a lot of units and are going to be offering them at 2 for $30.

Congratulations. That should really spread the word about your product. Did you ever pursue the industrial ear plug angle? That is a huge market that I know would love your product for the money it would save them.

This looks like an awesome way to store your ear buds without having the cord become tangled. That’s probably my #1 frustration with ear buds…when I go to pick them up to use, I have to spend a couple minutes untangling them. Definitely going to check these out!

These definitely work. I keep mine near my computer and also use them for ear plugs when a boom box carrying car is close enough to be annoying.

The idea of elastic cord storage function is awesome, as its really very hectic to adjust the length of cord according to your needs, especially it will prevent any damage to cord if you are habitual like me to fall asleep listening music.

Great headphones. these are the style that i like (i don’t like the huge one’s that go over your ears as opposed to the one’s that go inside your ears) i like the idea of making them look like a fashion accessory even though its not really my style but i’m sure the kids will love it.

I prefer using earbuds than headphones. They give me a lot comfort and they are not bulky to wear. I can bring them anywhere anytime ๐Ÿ™‚ By the way the earbud is really great, I’d be purchasing one of these.
