Hostgator 4th July 1 Day Only 40% off Hosting Blowout!

July 4, 2011 By Ivin 22 Comments

Ivin Viljoen let me know that Hostgator is having a one day only 40% off special for the Fourth of July.  Every time a group of bloggers discusses hosting companies, Hostgator comes up as number one or two on almost every bloggger’s list.

Ivin uses Hostgator hosting for all his blogs including his Authopublisher self-publishing blog so I gave Ivin the go-ahead to write this guest post to let my readers know about their sale:

I hate spam mail and ‘deals’ that aren’t deals at all. More like silly sales hooks that provide no substance when you get to the back-end of whatever you bought. And lots of times, a heading like this should make you very weary and warn you to check out the details carefully. Some (if not most) don’t bother at all. However, just because it’s the 4th of July, Hostgator is having a 40% blowout on ALL of their hosting plans and you can save a LOT of money this way, on all your online hosting costs.

Get 40% off your hosting this 4th of July only!!!

I have been with Hostgator for over a year now. Before I tell you about their great deal on offer today, I gotta tell you what impresses me most about them.

Their EXCELLENT support.

I just LOVE the fact that when my blog is down or when I personally messed up, HostGator’s technical staff stands by (day and night) to give me support in real time through a chat function. They have even helped me with WordPress trouble which is outside their expected scope of support.  I have learned from experience that you should NOT tamper with things you know nothing about. So, for me, listing their support as an advantage is a no brainier.

Unlimited Domains and Space.

Well, I don’t know exactly about unlimited, but let me tell you something. I have been building websites for five years now – and for your websites to be good – you need to use multimedia for interviews, simple video tutorials etc. So, when I started out, my website builder program was useless in hosting and solutions etc. So, I had to use the limited services of Archive.org for my upload and audio/video hosting. With Hostgator, I have by now TONS of high res images uploaded, videos for products I’m developing, and lots of audios and I haven’t heard a peep out of them, or had trouble with my server.

Using FTP.

If you’re serious about online business and development, you should be using this by now. I have integrated my Filezilla app into Hostgator and now, uploading images and content is a breeze as my dashboard looks like a Window. If using an FTP program is not your cup of tea and you prefer working straight from your Cpanel, Hostgators Cpanel is user friendly and easily navigable. If you struggle, there’s always that very efficient and friendly support staff to ask.

I thought to share this great deal with Gail’s readers as I have no doubt this will save YOU a lot of money on your monthly online bills. The hosting plans they offer are as follows.

Hatchling Plan.

  • Single domain.
  • Unlimited disk space.
  • Unlimited bandwidth.
  • Shared SSL certificate.

Baby Plan

  • Unlimited Domains.
  • Unlimited disk space.
  • Unlimited bandwidth.
  • Shared SSL certificate.

Business Plan.

  • Unlimited Domains.
  • Unlimited disk space.
  • Unlimited bandwidth.
  • Free private SSL & IP.
  • Free Toll Free Number.

I would personally recommend the baby plan as it has handles my five blog and two websites.  That should be a great deal to lift some financial burden off your shoulders. Remember…

Get 40% off your hosting this 4th of July only!!!

If you haven’t got your domain registered yet, I recommend namecheap above everything else.

If you don’t have a blog and want a professional blog setup like I have, you can either take the months it took me to get a grasp on everything, or you could hire me to setup your blog for you and save LOTS of time. Then, you could focus on producing great content instead.

Remember that this 40% off on hosting deal ends in 24 hours. If you somehow missed the 4th of July deal, you can simply got to Hostgator and enter the coupon code ‘Authopublisher’ to still get a little discount.

      Hi Rani,

Hosting companies run specials all the time. Keep your eyes open and you’ll see one. Search for HostGator Discount in your browser and their ads will start following you around the Internet.

Wish I would have seen this sooner. I’ve been looking for a good reason to switch from GoDaddy to HostGator and this would have been it.

Hostgator always has a special offer. If you buy your hosting at hostgator without 25% or 30% off then you are paying more than you should.

I do love hostgator. Their support is great. They have resolved all my problems in a great way and they can even make jokes.

I have a baby plan but I don’t really understand it.
If I want to register another domain then I need to pay $19?

I’ve only used BlueHost to date. They seem to do pretty well for me. This seems like a good deal but I always assume it’d be a bit of a hassle to transfer all of my domains. Besides, I just renewed. Thanks though.

Hostgator doesn’t miss to make good offers to their customers every month. I can’t wait for the latest discount that they will offer this month of August! I hope you will update us about it.

      Hi John,

Hostgator seems to be more favored among experienced bloggers, but many still use GoDaddy. I’d lean towards HostGator if I were to move any of my blogs.

Excellent deal and great price. If you are in the market for a new host or just getting started in the blogging world or website world this is worth taking advantage of. You won’t find an entry level hosting plan to get up and running at this rate every day.

I don’t think you need to write down a list of advantages you get while using the hosting services of HostGator. Almost every blogger and web development company is very well aware from them and not only using their hostings but also use to recommend it to their readers and clients.
They have 40% off!!! it’s enough to tell. 😉

I am using hostgator since 6 years for several of my smaller domains and for some clients and have never had a problem with them. Its the ideal hosting provider for small to medium business websites.

With so many hosting services to choose from it’s great that you have this deal. We took a long time to find our perfect host and even looked at Hostgator but we would have needed this 40% off to make it work. Shame – next time!
