Get Bloggers to Notice You at PermformInsider

August 10, 2011 By Gail Gardner 25 Comments

Perform Insider

My readers may be interested in a post I wrote being featured on Performance Marketing Insider today on How to Get Bloggers to Notice You.

According to their about page, Performance Marketing Insider (formerly known as Inside Offervault) is the leading publication on interactive performance marketing and direct response. They extensively cover all forms of marketing that connect with the performance marketing industry, affiliate marketing and concepts of return on investment (ROI) advertising.

If you’re interested in marketing of any kind they would love to have you as a subscriber.  I know you’ll love at least some of the content because besides my being a regular contributor, these others you already know have already been invited to be contributors there:

  • Small Business Technology Consultant Vernessa Taylor @CoachNotesBlog
  • Freelance Writer Kristi Hines @Kikolani
  • Marketing Strategy Consultant Ana Hoffman @WebTrafficCafe

Even on this new domain, their U.S. Alexa rank is already 8,296 and dropping and they have a massive mailing list.  If you write about marketing you may wish to be published there.  There is information on their about page on how to pitch ideas or you can connect with me and I can introduce you.

Thanks for reading. If you like my post there, please share it and subscribe. The more effectively we can grow their list, the more of our collaborators will be invited to become contributors.

      Hello Austex,

Be sure to check out my Small Business Internet Marketing: Where to Start post. There are also many useful tips on the Hire GrowMap tab to get you started.

If those don’t make it clear where you want to start you could benefit from one of my free consultations.

When you comment in blogs be sure to add your Twitter username @austexpools if they use a plugin that allows it. Many people discriminate against Twitter accounts that don’t have custom avatars so you’ll want to add an image to yours.

See our Twitter Best Practices post for more tips on getting the most out of Twitter. The first thing to do is add your Twitter username as text on your Web site so you’re easy to find there.

That’s a great opportunity to share what you’ve got and be noticed. As what most bloggers would do, we have to get anywhere just to get our blogs and our posts noticed and this is another way to get somewhere. Thanks for this.

I just started a blog about my business which is buying cars. Probably not a big blogging market for that one.

      Hi Kevin,

There are tons of interesting topics you could cover on a blog about buying cars from photos and stories about classic or performance cars to the latest innovative models to how to find a good mechanic.

I have some recommendations for you:

      1) New Jersey and New York are apparently part of your header image and not text so they can’t be found using a page search – and the search engines probably won’t find those words either. Add them as text too to make sure your site is found for the geographic areas you cover. When a business is local you want to put that location on every page.

      2) Read the post I’ve put in CommentLuv on Conquering Cyberspace and follow the tips about writing about car related events and businesses in the areas you buy cars. If your blog covers local interest subjects people where you are will share it with others.

Do a big post on a car show coming to town or a big sale at the local auto parts or accessories store or the special at the local paint and body shop. Make your site locally relevant and collaborate with local related businesses and you’ll get more readers AND become a site worth advertising on.

Check out these other posts on why your blog needs to appeal to a local audience:

Welcome to GrowMap, Daniel. Thank you, and please thank your friend who recommended us. By intention this blog is different than most any others in that we want to be accessible to small businesses and other bloggers so they can get fast answers to any questions they may have.

While just about anything you want to know can be found online it can take a lot of time and you will find a lot of conflicting advice. We do our best to make sure you know which advice is accurate and which is smoke and mirrors.

I hope you’ll be a regular reader and feel free to ask questions, comment or contact us whenever we can be of service.
