Most people think they just make a blog put adsense on it and the money comes rolling in. The fact is it takes alot of work to make any money. Sometimes your better off selling your own product you should make more per sale than adsense.

    Hi
I think the affiliate does not have to worry about customer support, book keeping, and e-commerce related headaches since in affiliate marketing, the merchant handles it all; all the affiliate needs to do is promote and resell the product.

There are some great affiliate programs around. My favourites are Clickbank, Amazon and Ebay. I find that Xmas is by far the best time of year – but other special dates like Valentines day and Mothers day can also be good. I try to post relevant topical posts to my blog in advance and then I seem to capture so useful converting traffic.

The advantages of affiliate marketing are that merchants have a wider environment generating more products and services signifying more sales. No additional time is spent in marketing with merchants and they can obtain more customers this way too

Seniors do recommend to put a flip fold in a Home page, doing this will lure people to click and know more about your product, this will create a back link too and it will publicize your product too.

      Welcome Dave,

Affiliate programs can generate far more money than AdWords but only if the affiliate really understands how to evaluate the merchant’s site and how best to present their recommendations. That is why I did the post on How to Evaluate a Merchant featured in CommentLuv.

Are you selling your own jewelry or affiliate products? The gift store I work with has products that would fit your blog and I can send you spreadsheets of which specific products of each type sell best. I am looking for bloggers interested in collaborating.

    Hello again,

Knowing what sells best when is a huge advantage and that is why we are seeking to provide affiliates with that specific information. We also know the gift inventory really well so we are in a better position to suggest products that fit each site and particular niches.

The time between now and the week before Christmas is definitely the best time for gifts in general. Our gift affiliate program has the advantage of selling products that sell all year long.

Many fit the wedding niche and are included in the instant Bridaluxe Wedding Stores that make it super fast and easy to get a wedding related site going. Although weddings occur all year, wedding traffic picks up in January and the prime time for wedding related sales is Q2 and Q3.

We also have the largest selection of business card holders, travel gifts and all kinds of other great stuff that will sell all year. I’m thinking that it wouldn’t hurt to add a product suggestion at the end of a related post. For example, if a blogger is writing about traveling they could mention a product they would love to have or actually carry with them. We have some really cool travel related gifts.

Let me know if you’re interested in collaborating.

Glad you liked it. We would love to collaborate with you if you’re interested. The gift store we mentioned has a huge selection of business card holders and I know which ones sell best.

We also have a great selection of logo business card holders.

Offering your buyers business card holders as an upsell should convert well. Check out the post I’m featuring in this comment reply for more details and also check out the gift affiliate program information in our blog for their site.

We only recommend the hosting companies we use and they do have affiliate programs. The key to converting is knowing that what you recommend is worth using. There is a link at the bottom of our pages here to the hosting company we use in this blog and there is an ad box for the company that hosts our other blogs on Derek’s Web Design blog.

We recommend you check out the affiliate programs of those two companies. We use them both for all our blogs and all blogs built for clients as well.

      Hi Sire,

I would love to work with you on some gift offers for your blog. I’ve been working with Executive Gift Shoppe for years and are very familiar with their products. We also have access to all the data on top selling products and what sells best when.

We personally work with their affiliates, sending them custom spreadsheets, writing rebloggable posts for them and even sending them traffic. If I can interest you in working with me on this just let me know.

Check out the link I used in this comment. I compiled all the best affiliate resources I could locate in that post and am continually adding to it.

When you go to Walgreens etc, there are a variety of gift cards available to applebees, the gap, etc. I’ve looked at a lot of pre-paid visa affiliate programs, but I would like to find an affiliate program that offers other gift cards, that I can offer to my customers. Any suggestions?

      Hi,

Have you read any of our posts about the gift affiliate program of our favorite gift store? They have gift certificates in $25, $50, $75 and $100 increments.

I should probably write a rebloggable post about those too. We personally promote and collaborate with their affiliates, sending them traffic and providing custom spreadsheets and blog posts to ensure they are successful.
