Increase Sales with New Tech for Easy Digital Signs

February 2, 2016 By Gail Gardner 8 Comments

What could be more important than pulling new customers into your store or upselling your most profitable products? What these two have in common is colorful, informative signage.

Fortunately for us all, unlike years past when you paid a glass blower to make a neon sign or a wood carver or metal worker or printer to make a permanent sign, today you can turn a monitor or TV into a digital sign you can easily update.

Easily create new digital signage with a Squizz mini-computer on a thumb drive stick

Look at the photo above. The signs you see there are digital signs. You’ve probably given them little thought, but if you have a business you really need to understand the great benefits of digital signage.

Here are some examples of how digital signs save time and increase sales:

  • If prices change, just type in the current amounts.
  • Running a new special? Upload a new image.
  • Have a product that needs explaining? Play a video.
  • Out of stock during the busiest season of the year? Remove that item – and feature something else!
  • Not sure what will sell best? Test signs to see how they affect sales.

Simply plug a Squizz stick into any TV or monitor that has an HDMI port and you have a digital sign. Not sure what an HDMI port is? Here’s an image:

Never underestimate the increase in sales you can generate with the right signs. I knew a business owner who bought a failing Magazine store. I asked him how he turned it around. This is what he said:

  • Thoroughly cleaned in and out and repainted the walls white
  • Replaced the lighting so it was bright and cheery inside
  • Put a strobe light in the window to get people to look at the building (which sat well back from the road)
  • Most important of all, he put a sign above the plate glass windows, colorful enticing signage IN the windows, and had signs inside

Think about when you walk by a restaurant. Maybe the menu is in the window or on the door – if they’re smart. But what if there are photos of scrumptious desserts and entrees or even videos playing in the windows? They look so delicious you get hungry and stop to eat.

Imagine you have a store. Many people walk or drive by, but do they notice the big sign above the windows from their viewpoints? Is there anything that draws them in to shop?  Just as stores once had window dressers who changed what was in the window to draw in the customers, now you can share whatever is most compelling on a regular basis.

Show kids playing with the hottest new toy – or happy models wearing the clothing you sell. If you can’t think of what you would use a digital sign for, leave a link to your business in the comments and I’ll suggest ideas for you.

Sure, you can have a printer make signs for you for less, but with a Squizz mini-computer you buy once and have unlimited designs indefinitely!

Promote Your Biz Like Times Square

Even if you’ve never been to New York, you’ve probably seen Times Square in photos or movies. All those signs are digital signs. They promote the latest Broadway shows, movies, and brands.

Promote your business like Times Square

With a Squizz stick you can make signs like these to promote your own business. Right now they’re running an IndieGoGo campaign and only until that campaign ends you can get the best price available – far, far less than retail will be.

Just click on the IndieGoGo image below to go find out more and land this easier way to make digital signs.

What Makes Squizz Different?

I’ll let the developers of Squizz explain for themselves:

We’ve a had a few people ask, what makes Squizz different from all the other digital signage systems out there?  Just one word. Simple.

Let me explain.

The Monitor.  Monitor is just a fancy word for a TV.  Go to any store or even your guest bedroom and get a TV with an HDMI port. Now you’ve got a digital sign. We can supply you with professional monitors and multi-screen arrays, but letting you start with a basic TV is…Simple.

The Delivery Hardware. We’re not selling expensive hardware. Squizz will run on any Android device, just like a lot of other digital signage products. BUT, we did the research, found the best one, took off all the extra software and made it do one thing…..run the Squizz app.  All you do is plug it in your TV. Doesn’t that sound…..Simple?

The Content Manager.  Plenty of digital sign companies say their content management system is simple and I’m sure some are, but Squizz is drag and drop.  That’s it. Our CMS takes any image, video or document file and converts it for use on your digital sign. Drag and Drop. It can literally be used by a 5 year old.  That’s Simple.

Pricing. What package do you buy? What do you need? We make the choice easy. One price. That’s it.  No monthly billing. unless you just want to pay monthly. After the initial purchase, all you ever pay for is additional file storage and bandwidth you might need. $495 one time…or on Indiegogo, $275.  Nobody makes their pricing that Simple.

The monitor, the delivery hardware, the CMS, the pricing. There are some companies that do well at some of these. Squizz is truly the first company to combine all of these in one Simple package.

That’s what makes us different.
