New research published today by Imperva Incapsula shows strong demand for DDoS mitigation skills and other security related talent.
Given the number of high profile DDoS attacks covered in the media, this should not surprise anyone. I searched on LinkedIn and it returned 28,619 results for DDoS attacks on LinkedIn alone.
U.S. Demand for DDoS Skills

DDoS job listings across the U.S. by job title
The colored dots show job roles (job titles) that mentioned DDoS in the job description. The four most common are security, network engineer, DevOps and sysadmin.
Worldwide DDoS Mitigation Demand
Demand is not limited to the U.S. Incapsula identified 983 open positions that mentioned DDoS skills across 37 countries. Their research includes additional graphs and stats published here.
There are also active discussions ongoing on the home pages of both Inbound.org and GrowthHackers.com for those who want more details.
