Business Event Promotion

Don’t worry! Here we are going to discuss a few quick tips for promoting your event on social media and taking your business higher and higher.

1. Create an Event on Facebook

The very first thing you need to do while promoting a business event is to create an event page on Facebook. This way, people get information about your goings-on.

Facebook events are universal. People actually see them, interact with them, and get event updates from them every day.

Promoting the event on your Facebook business page gives you a strong impact with your audience. Followers who arrive on your business page for any reason will find out about your event. And supporters who are invited to your Facebook event page can invite their friends as well.

2. Google Adwords with Socialize Option

Are you using Google AdWords to support your event? Do you have a page on Google+? If yes, you can add social verification to your paid Google ads. Doing so gives your ads validity. See how this ad for Social Media Marketing World showcases how many people are following this Google+ page.

Socialize Google Ad

You can add social proof to your Google ads by going under Ad Extensions and selecting Social Extensions starting from the drop-down menu.

3. Posting a Pre-Event Video

Videos give an extraordinary opportunity to express the energy and excitement of your live event. Awesome visuals and catchy audios are a strong combination that drives enrollment. Videos even provide engagement opportunities as friends share them with each other.

When creating a video, keep in mind your intended audience. Host your video on every social media platform where you can share live videos for pre-event preparation. Facebook videos actually achieve a 10 times higher viral reach than YouTube links.

At KVR Webtech, we had organized a scrabble competition, and for that we created a short video in which one of our directors provided information about the competition.

4. Share Blog Posts on Social Media Profiles

Write a blog post about the highlights of your event, and then share it on social profiles, such as Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and even Tumblr. Sharing blog posts on social media platforms helps your content be visible to your audience and so become popular.

Every social media channel has its own benefits and abilities. You need a basic procedure to tailor your social sharing and get the maximum engagement out of these platforms. These channels are also a great way to promote your business event once you gain audiences for your blogs.

Creating an amazing post on Facebook can actually help in boosting engagement on your business page.

5. Give Aways/Rewards/Awards

Arrange a contest in the form of a giveaway. Everyone likes getting things in the form of rewards, awards, or discounts.

There are a ton of ways you can inform your followers when you’re holding a giveaway or contest. You can use “push” notifications, email, social posts, flyers, informal methods, and so on.

But these channels target only those audiences who are already following you. Your Facebook cover image is a brilliant way to ensure that contests are visible to everyone, especially new visitors.

6. Update Cover Images of Social Profiles

As I said above, the Facebook cover photo is the best way to promote your event. There, you can highlight your USPs and the rewards/awards you are offering to your clients and audience. To drive more customers to your event page, design an attractive and interesting cover image. Highlight your event’s best points, and update the photo a few days before the event.

The best way to get exposure for your brand is through social media, and users benefit when you deliver magnificent Facebook or Google+ images. These give your brand and services a chance to stand out from the crowd on every social network.

7. Podcast About the Event

If you have your own podcast, use it for the promotion of your upcoming event. To make your event worth offering to your customers, don’t just talk about who the speakers are. Also explain what your listeners can gain by attending the event. These days podcasts can actually help in boosting your business growth.

Promote subscribers, sign-ups, and dedicated fans with automatic and periodic updates. Post your podcast availability on your site with a live link, and specify it in your email signature. Enroll in podcast directories, including iTunes and podcast.net to boost your business.

8. Share Quotes from Experts/Speakers

Visual content is the ideal way to grab the attention of fans, as well as to have them act on your content.

Record a strong statement or any quotation from your speakers and add that to a graphic containing a headshot of the speaker. This creates a visual impact on the audience and connects them to the person giving the quote.

Through the image, your followers can check out more about the speaker’s personality or presentation. The image also provides exposure for your speakers, as well as giving the event popularity.

Guy Kawasaki9. Use Those Hashtags

On social media sites, including hashtags in your online content can have a host of advantages with regards to business. Hashtags help in promoting products and services, pulling in new clients, and boosting benefits.

You can effectively use hashtags to promote an event for business purposes and to help site owners to grow their client bases. Hashtags should be short, related to your event, and contain natural keywords to enhance their visibility in search engine rankings.

10. Add Your Event to Your Email Signature

Although this is the last tip, it’s the most important point. Adding links to your upcoming event in your email signature is one of the best ways to create awareness among your audience about your event.

Whenever you email your audience something related to your business, don’t forget to add the details of your event to your email signature. Doing so helps to create an awareness among your email readers that you are organizing an event related to your business. If they are interested, they will click the link and share among friends as well.

Conclusion

There’s no doubt that social media is a boon to the digital marketing industry. Through social, you can promote your business in many ways. All you need to do is to follow these tips. Create a powerful event that not only works for audiences but also for you as a business owner.

Nice article. I’d suggest that event promoter keep on creating buzz on the event facebook page and not just stop on creating the page and inviting people. Every point is great and it’d be nice if quotes/blog posts shared on the page are also shared in the event discussion page.

Also creating a great pre-event video might be expensive but luckily there are solutions in the market that come at a fair price: https://www.renderforest.com/blog/how-to-create-an-event-video-with-renderforest

    Good luck.

Very informative article. Flyers can be a creative advertising method. It can be “off line” also, if we do flyer distribution. We can say “outdoor marketing”. If we distribute our services or product in flyers, brochures, pamphlet and put them into our customer’s hand so we can easily target our right audience and it will help to increase sales.
