Gushcloud and UBL Small Business Marketing Blog Outreach Blogging Contest Kicked Off #SMBContest

All Bloggers are invited to get started participating in the Gushcloud and UBL Small Business Marketing Blog Outreach Blogging Contest.

Bloggers will write posts on the topic
‘Share Your Best Small Business Advice’
plus bonus posts specifically
about our sponsors.

All posts will then be heavily promoted across social networks.

To make it as easy to compete as possible, Ron Cripps @AffiliateXFiles installed a blog specifically for the contest at SMBcontest.com.

There are tabs under the header for all the commonly used pages. Jump right in on these two most important pages:

Cash prizes – we’re starting off at $8,750 which is the highest cash amount I’ve seen in a contest of this kind.
Non-cash prizes – just as exciting we have many non-cash prizes that will appeal to bloggers in all different niches.

Many businesses are hesitant to get started with blogger outreach because they are worried what bloggers might write about them. Vernessa Taylor @CoachNotesBlog has set up a special sponsor user profile to allow you to read the posts before they’re published and provide feedback.

Yes, small businesses can still get involved.
Bloggers will be writing about small businesses throughout the contest.

Bloggers will select sponsors they are most interested in, visit their sites, and write about them. Supporting small business is the key to economic recovery, creating jobs, and raising the standard of living.

Gail will be using GroupHigh and BlogDash to identify and invite established bloggers to participate from niches related to each sponsor and bloggers are encouraged to spread the word.

Yes anyone may join, but just as I do not approve links to sites promoting mind altering substances whether they are officially legal or not, if you participate in that contest links to that site would also not be permitted. Do you have any other sites you would want to link to besides that?

Hello Guillaume,

I have considered putting translation plugins on GrowMap, but a friend tried one and it caused him enormous problems and he got dropped from Google search! If anyone knows of one that is safe to use I will consider it.

My readers who speak other languages are welcome to write about the contest in their native language and link to both sites and I will promote what you have written so others on Twitter and elsewhere who read your language can see it.

When I get comments in other languages I use the Babelfish language translator to figure out what they are saying. I also use it to read blogs that are not in English. The only challenge is you must be able to guess what language the original is in, so it is good to always mention that when commenting on someone else’s blog and on your own blogs and sites.

While machine translators do not generally produce correct grammar, you can usually tell what was said. If you wish to write about the contest in French I can link to your information or publish it on the SMBcontest site for others who read French.

Great information. I am agree with the “benefit for bloggers” that participate in a contest. It’s not merely about the prices, further than that we can have more networks which is not less important for business.
