We Need INDEPENDENT Open Source Alternatives

Corporations are systematically taking over Open Source alternatives which were independent (or at least appeared to be).

All of us who value our freedom need to start identifying solutions free from Corporate control. Most likely in many cases we will have to create them ourselves and learn to protect them from infiltration and takeover.

FireFox may as well be Google and the latest version of Ubuntu – an Operating System I chose because I do not trust Microsoft – has a new version of OpenOffice emblazoned with the Oracle logo.

What do I mean by independent?

Here is the definition provided by The Free Dictionary by Farlex:

1. Not governed by a foreign power; self-governing.
2. Free from the influence, guidance, or control of another or others; self-reliant: an independent mind.
3. Not determined or influenced by someone or something else; not contingent: a decision independent of the outcome of the study.
4. often Independent Affiliated with or loyal to no one political party or organization.
5. Not dependent on or affiliated with a larger or controlling entity: an independent food store; an independent film.

6.

a. Not relying on others for support, care, or funds; self-supporting.
b. Providing or being sufficient income to enable one to live without working: a person of independent means.

“Centuries ago, governments tried to control who said what in order to avoid rebellions from informed individuals who threatened to inform the masses.” Quote from Ignorance WAS Bliss.

Today, the plutocrats behind multi-national Corporations who control traditional media and most of everything else seek to take control of the Internet and reduce the influence of “informed individuals”.

It is IMPERATIVE that we make it VERY CLEAR that our target audience is ONLY the estimated 0.02% of the entire population who are like us!

WHY WE ARE NO THREAT to the Plutocracy:

We are NOT interested in converting the masses – which as they should know is impossible at any rate. Only people and business owners like us will understand what we do or discuss – and those that do are part of that tiny 0.02% already.

They can never convert us and keeping us from talking to each other is futile so why not just agree to disagree? We WILL always find a way online or off.

We know you control almost everything but you will never control us because the Truth has set us free.

As Norman D. Livergood so aptly wrote in Completing the American Revolution:

“Americans are conditioned to see our present form of government as a representative democracy. We’re almost incapable of understanding that:

  • We live in a plutocracy
  • The United States Constitution was deliberately constructed so that the nation is ruled by the wealthy

What is true for America is true for Britain, the U.K., and every other country. There is one plutocracy that controls the money supply and therefore the governments, corporations and businesses everywhere.

I propose that those of us who understand these Truths concede 99.8% of everything to the plutocracy and claim our 0.02%. Let us agree to disagree with the rest of the world on this subject.

That will provide us with the best chance that the plutocracy will allow us to “live and let live” – and it benefits them too. Wouldn’t they rather let us quietly do our own thing than have us leading the nullification movements against Real ID and mandatory insurance?

There is no reason they should really care what we do as long as we have no interest in undermining their control over everyone else. Exempt us from what we are never going to agree to anyway and we won’t be leading your opposition.

ALL of us have free will and those under their control have accepted it and continue to be controlled by them by their choices.

We can not help them and attempting to do so is dangerous to our freedom. If it would work and were the right thing to do I would be the first to advocate we do it. It will not work anyway so there is no reason to risk it.

Remember this quote from The Matrix?

Morpheus: “The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you’re inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.”

They had this partly right. We should NOT try to save them. Those who can see will save themselves.

Those who can not have been conditioned to see us all as their enemies to be turned in to the authorities for every little thing. Trying to save them is dangerous to our continued freedom.

Who among us could have ever imagined that the world  they created would actually be like living in that ridiculous future portrayed in the 1975 movie Rollerball? Remember the media spin in that movie? Very true in “real life” too.

All entities controlled by the Plutocracy only create the illusion of competition. They are operating from a joint playbook. Collectively, I refer to them as “The BORG” and treat them as one power. IMHO you should too.
