Gushcloud CrowdSourced Marketing Services Platform: Small Business Rewards for Consumers

April 5, 2012 · 21 comments

Gushcloud Crowdsourced Marketing Platform allows small businesses to encourage consumers to share their products and services. Every consumer wants to easily find the quality
products and services they want and need.

Every small business needs a way to get
visibility for their products and services.

The Gushcloud Crowdsource Marketing Platform
created by Vincent Ha is the solution we all need:

a way to bring buyers and sellers together
that rewards both for using it.

In this Future of Publishing episode, VigLink CEO Oliver Roup interviews Ha about why businesses might want to crowdsource their marketing efforts by using Gushcloud marketing services.

Video Highlights:

  • Not all small businesses can afford marketing…
  • But almost all need to do it…
  • They can do a lot of it crowdsourced through Gushcloud…

A lot of start-ups have killer apps that can be the next big thing, but they don’t know how to sell them. Many businesses need to do marketing, too.

They look to marketing agencies and realize that it’s much too expensive to hire an agency. They may attempt to use social media or blog outreach if they can figure out how.

Now there is an easier way:

Gushcloud Marketing Services Platform

Gushcloud rewards consumers for spreading the word
about products and services they use or want to try.

Through Gushcloud, small businesses can offer incentives to consumers for downloading, tweeting, sharing on Facebook, checkins and completing other similar tasks.

Gushcloud offers businesses a way to reward
their customers for growing their business.

Businesses need to be realistic. Most consumers are not going to invest their time and effort in spreading the word about you or your product or service – EVEN IF THEY LOVE YOU – unless there is something in it for them. They just won’t.

This WILL work because people are more likely to act
on the recommendations of people they already know
and trust: their friends and influencers they respect.

Gushcloud is the lead sponsor of the largest cash prize blogging contest ever to hit the blogosphere because they understand that what they have to offer is valuable to bloggers, consumers and small businesses alike.

I can definitely see the benefit for online businesses or services, but how about local businesses? Do you think it would be as helpful to grow a small service business that works out of a physical location?

Hi Aaron,

Gushcloud is undergoing a change so I can’t answer that until they relaunch and I can see what they changed. I do believe all bloggers and businesses – even if they sell nationally – benefit from also having a local focus.

See the post I’ve put in CommentLuv and also the post on geo-targeting at http://GrowMap.com/twitter-local

While that post is about Twitter, it has the best explanation of WHY what we do should be locally focused.

Yeah this is a really cool idea. I hadn’t heard of it before. It’s a constant problem trying to incentivise customers to leave reviews or testimonials (especially from a local seo perspective) and this is a great way to persuade them to do that.

Gushcloud’s business model seems pretty smart.

I fully agree with the points in the video also – crowdsourcing has already become a huge thing and its potential is IMMENSE!

WOM marketing is definitely bigger now than it has ever been, plus social signals becoming a growing part of building site authority, so a product like this can be beneficial in so many ways. Thanks for posting!

I really like this idea. Definitely going to look into it first thing tomorrow morning. The idea behind providing incentives to drive more social media sharing should really separate this apart from a lot of other services/solutions out there. It certainly sets Gushcloud apart from every social media marketing service that I’m currently familiar with.

This is a really neat marketing solution. I have just registered on Gushercloud and it’s looking great. There aren’t that many people on it yet but i’m sure this thing will grow fast.

Oh this is a great idea! I also think that it is important for companies (especially small businesses) to remember that even the most loyal of customers will not help your business so much, unless there is some sort of benefit. Using a system of rewards is a great idea to increase business by the recommendations of your most loyal customers. Thanks for the post!
