WHY WE NO LONGER RECOMMEND EASY RETWEET
I am in the unfortunate position of warning people to be cautious of JustRetweet and EasyRetweet because both owners have taken advantage of bloggers – including myself – to launch sites that they then sold out from under us.
Because of this, and the many lies told to me by Valentine Belonwu and Enstine Muki, I feel it necessary that I must caution my readers against spending any money on either site until they are stable with new owners or you understand the risks.
If you want to use their free services there is not too much risk – but I would not advise spending much time building communities or have any money tied up in ads or credits. Easy Retweet and Muki would not commit to requesting a new owner to honor existing advertising commitments or credits.
I sincerely apologize for having recommended people who can not be trusted – and while most would quietly let this slide I feel it is my obligation to warn my readers. I do hope you understand that THIS is precisely why many start-ups never take off – because those who stick their necks out to help them get burnt by unethical cons like this.
As it turns out, this is not such a great loss as it would seem. As some have pointed out, while you can increase your follower counts, it is more likely that the followers you obtain in this manner will not be particularly targeted or interested in what you’re doing.
Some followers obtained in this way may be your target audience –
because they chose what was interesting to them – but others will not
because they only followed you to earn credits to promote themselves.
Large numbers of retweets may or may not result in increased traffic depending on whether those who share your content have followers who are interested and how compellingly your tweets are written.
Even if you can get huge numbers of impressions on Twitter – as I have been able to do by syndicating content as I explain in this Twitter Case Study – you will not necessarily see increased traffic or interactions.
TWITTER PRIORITIES
Given there are only so many hours in the day and based on research and experience I now have, I believe we are all better off focusing on deepening relationships with key people on social networks and spending our time interacting with them instead of focusing on using tools such as these.

Hello,
I’ve been using EasyRetweet for a little while until I found out about JustRetweet which in my opinion is much much better.
So far I’m earning my credits manually and it’s actually not that hard to do.
EasyRetweet is very hard to figure out and to many features that are not explained and which I think they’re only made just to drive people to spend money for credits.
On the other hand JustRetweet is very easy to use and the credits update in real-time so I always know how much I have. Also submitting a tweet is very easy and takes very little time.
If it were up to me I’d recommend JustRetweet over EasyRetweet any time.

Hi Philip,
I’m sure the owner of JustRetweet will appreciate your feedback. He is always working to improve that site. I’ll pass along this comment to him.

Hi Shelby,
They can send you traffic and I will be using and writing about JustRetweet again because they are under new ownership. Tweets are one way to get traffic. Recommendations convert better though.
By the way, are you aware that FeedBurner is likely to be going away? We have migrated all of our feeds off of it and onto FeedBlitz. Why is explained in FeedBurner Signs Off Twitter. Now What? Is FeedBurner Going Away? Do Not Wait to Find Out!
