Before you apply the tips in the book be sure you clearly understand the differences between the types of communities each of the contributors has and decide what kind of community YOU want to grow. There is very little overlap between the types.

Your site is in what SEOs call a bad neighborhood that includes adult content and gm/blng - a word I don't even spell out properly in a regular form because it attracts even more commenters from that niche. If you weren't in a bad neighborhood I could approve your comments and not remove your links. You just have to realize that you can't link build in a quality blog for that kind of site. It is true that “learning from someone else’s experience is a lot smarter than
having to learn everything the hard way by doing it yourself!” Sometimes you don’t have to do or find the answer by yourself. You also have to consider how other people dealt with the problems or challenges that you are facing today.
As the others have said, a great book from brilliant contributors!
