. I’m sure that this will be crowd but it’s gonna be great
This may be a dumb question, but what exactly is the difference between a workshop and a seminar?
Here are my distinctions (even though I do sometimes use them interchangeably):
Workshop is more “hands-on” for the participants. They are going to be working, thinking, doing, processing, creating (maybe physically), up and at ’em moving around, lots of interaction, etc.
Seminar is going to involve more individual thinking, working, writing, processing and maybe some with one or two people sitting close by, but it won’t be quite as active. This word sounds more serious than workshop. I use lots of humor when I’m working with folks so I always plan to have people laughing as they learn, but the word “seminar” still sounds like it’s going to be a more serious event than a workshop does.

To me the distinction is that workshops are designed directly for the audience. These are things that YOU can start doing right way, etc… Seminars are more abstract, and more about presenting information, not necessarily with a direct purpose of instructing people on how to do something. A seminar on turning your blog into a business would be a talk on how blogs can become businesses, whereas a workshop would discuss actual steps to turn YOUR blog into a business.
I haven’t attended this kind of workshop but when I read your article and it does really help. This could help me to improve my skills and gives challenges in everyday life.

This is a great idea and a great post! I think the idea of a workshop sounds very useful, I know that when I started blogging I really could of done with something like this so I’m sure many people will be able to relate to this. Thank you for sharing.
